Treeline by Vicky Hsu is inspired by the verdant, lush Redwood forests in coastal Northern California. This hat is made in our lightweight Weld, and features a fun cable technique to create the “treeline” motif around the body of the hat.

Yarn: Hudson + West Co. Weld (70% US Merino / 30% US Corriedale; 200 yds [183 m]; 1.76 oz. [50g]): Version 1: juniper (light heathered green), 1 skein; Version 2: fawn (natural beige), 1 skein.
One Size; 22” (56 cm) finished circumference, 8.5 (22 cm) height. Fits adult heads with circumferences of approximately 19-23” (48-58 cm).
Size A: (for hat): US 3 (3.25 mm) small circular needle and DPNs, or long circular needle for magic loop, per knitter preference.
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Stitch markers; tapestry needle; cable needle (optional).
28 stitches and 35 rounds = 4” (10 cm) in St st on Size A needles.
Decreasing; circular knitting; cabling with (or without) a cable needle.
