Farewell -- and Thank you!
After more than six wonderful years, Hudson + West Co. is officially closed.
What began as an idea rooted in American wool, thoughtful design, and community grew into something far bigger than we ever imagined. We are deeply grateful to every knitter, maker, shop owner, designer, and friend who supported this work—whether you purchased a single skein or followed us from the very beginning.
As we wound the company down, so many of you showed up one last time—thoughtfully, generously, and with such care. Because of you, every last skein of Forge and Weld found a home. That support meant more to us than we can properly express, and it was a deeply meaningful way to close this chapter.
Although we are no longer producing yarn, all of our published patterns will continue to be available through their respective designers on Ravelry and, in many cases, on the designers’ personal websites. Our website will remain available as a static archive for the time being, and our email address (info@hudsonandwestco.com) will remain open through February 11, 2026, but please note that response times may be limited.
Thank you so much for being part of our journey over the last six years. Producing yarn for you has been such a privilege, and we have delighted in meeting so many of you and seeing the beautiful projects you’ve made in Forge and Weld. We hope those finished objects join you in many future adventures, as we head off on ours.
