YES, CHEF! In celebration of the return of one of my favorite shows, The Bear, I bring you the “Yes, Chef” Beanie. Made in the style of Marcus’s green and red beanies with a scoring “claw mark” motif (this one is from Andrea Rangel’s Alterknits) on the body and the show’s iconic “Yes, Chef” catchphrase duplicate stitched on the brim.
This beanie is made in soft + springy Weld — perfect for colorwork — and is worked in the round from the bottom up from a provisional cast on. The stockinette brim is folded and the cast on round is attached to the working round to create a cozy, doubled brim. The hat then is turned and the colorwork body is worked on the “WS,” so there’s no purling to do in your entire project.
