It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Autumn — a knitter’s favorite season — is full of casual festivity and comfort. We naturally seek out small pockets of timeless coziness in our days, whether it be the first hot coffee of the season, fresh cider donuts, a walk through dazzling leaves, knitting by the fire, or curling up in our favorite hand knits with a good book.

Our Autumn/Winter ‘23 collection is a tribute to the comforts of fall, harkening to years past. We’re known for our heritage designs, and for this season, we leaned a bit retro, riffing on the prints, colors, and textiles of the 1970s. While the designs have a retro nod, the collection has all the modern hallmarks of H+W designs, made with your daily life in mind.

In this collection, you’ll find seven sweaters and four accessories to make now and wear forever. Cables, textures, and colorwork are equal partners in this collection, with several stand out designs by friends of the flock Emily Greene, Samantha Guerin, Seth Richardson, Jill Thompson Beach, and Cheryl Toy, as well as contributions from both of us.

As always, our collection is sized inclusively, with all sweaters designed to fit a 30”-64”+ chest. We’re always working for a better, more inclusive design catalog, and continue to refine our design construction for a better fit on all bodies.
