It's been a wild few weeks. It seems impossible that just two weeks ago we were in Northern California shooting our Spring 2020 collection with our friends from Harper Point Photography. Since then, the world as we know it has turned on its head, and we thought that sharing a pattern early from our new collection was just the thing to brighten everyone up a bit.
Red Wing, by co-founder Meghan Babin, is a lightweight, 2x2 ribbed, super stretchy beanie for everyone. Wear it folded like a watchcap (shown here) or unfolded and slouchy. Our new H+W Foldover Leather Tags are reversible, so whichever way you wear the hat the little logo is on both sides!
It's made in our light and lovely Weld in Barn Red, our deep heathered red. Our photographer loved it so much that the original beanie now has a permanent home on his head. As a knitter, the instant gratification of someone immediately adopting a knit without hesitation is the highest compliment.

Yarn: Weld in Barn Red, 1 skein
Suggested Needle: US Size 2.5 (3 mm) needles in your preferred method for knitting in the round.
Gauge: 30 sts and 36 rounds per 4" (10 cm), unstretched.
Skills Required: circular knitting; decreasing; (optional) Old Norwegian or German Twisted Cast On
