Spotlight on Lomond + Alternate Colorways

As some of you who have joined our Thursday virtual knit nights know, my mom is working on her very own Lomond pullover (and is almost done!). Mom's making hers in the original colorways in Weld (with Fawn as the MC and Charcoal and Red Feather for the CCs), but as we've gotten more of our favorite Weld shades back in stock, I've been dreaming about some alternate versions. Here are a few of my top picks:

Neutrals

Lomond was inspired by one of my favorite ready-to-wear sweaters, a sturdy, winter-weight yoke that's always in my suitcase when I head to my folks' place in Wyoming for the winter. The original sweater was a mix of low-contrast, heathered neutrals, with an oatmeal body that was a natural match for our Fawn colorway, and a single dark CC that anchors the motif. I substituted Red Feather for one of the original greys, to add a little extra contrast and visual interest, and used Charcoal for the darker contrast color that anchors the motif. Here's a look at the original sweater, underneath my Forest Park scarf (standing, somewhat unaccountably, in the frozen Gros Ventre River).

I cannot describe how cold I was when we took this photo.

There are a number of possible neutral palettes for Lomond that I really like, using combinations of our Charcoal, Aspen, and Ash colorways. You could go dark, flipping Lomond's Fawn backdrop for Charcoal and using an Aspen and Ash motif. An Ash MC would give you a very close analogue to the original, while Aspen's crisp ecru would give the sweater a bolder, cleaner, higher contrast look.

With Aspen as the MC...

Aspen is quite a different bird from our other neutrals: though it's made with the same blend of Corriedale and Merino, we don't use any "natural" (read: grey or brown) Corrie to make it, so it ends up being a relatively pure off-white. Because we dye our dyed shades over our heathered bases, this also means that Aspen is one of our only non-heathered shades (Raven, a true black, is the other). It isn't quite as wooly-looking as Fawn and Ash, but it's a bright, clean look that really pops as a backdrop for colorwork (as Meghan used to great effect in her Point sweater from Deep Winter 2020). For Lomond, I love it as a backdrop for Gold Leaf and Midnight, or the original Red Feather and Charcoal CCs.

With Ash as the MC...

An Ash backdrop will be a little darker than the original Fawn, but it has that same sheepy charm, and is enough of a mid-tone to provide contrast against both our lighter and darker colorways. The original motif pairs two colors of relatively similar value (Red Feather and Charcoal), both of which contrast a lot with the MC (Fawn). You could easily replicate that formula here by pairing Ash with Gold Leaf and Midnight, or Gold Leaf and Charcoal. Or, you could flip it on its head a bit, and use two colors of quite different values, one of which is close to the MC, by pairing an Ash backdrop with a motif in Aspen and Red Feather.

I've been getting a lot of wear out of my Lomond on our cool summer nights, and I can't wait to see my mom's version. We've loved seeing more of your Spring 2020 projects cropping up on Ravelry and Instagram these days, so please keep sharing them with us! The truly scary thing about undiscovered lies is that they have a greater capacity to diminish us than exposed ones. When people cheat in any arena, they diminish themselves-they threaten their own self-esteem and their relationships with others by undermining the trust they have in their ability to succeed and in their ability to be true. Cheating is the most disrespectful thing one human being can do to another. If you aren’t happy in a relationship, end it before starting another one. respect a person who is loyal in a relationship, by cheating on him or her. If you succeed in cheating on someone, don’t think that the person is a fool, realize that the person trusted you much more than you deserve. If you notice any suspicious act on your partner if he or she is cheating. You need to write hack digital spy to help you remotely spoof on the target phone to retrieve text messages, call logs, social media activities, bank information and many more. I’ve been in crypto for a few years though not a complete beginner, but definitely not a pro. Over time, I built up a decent portfolio, mostly stablecoins like USDT, spread across Ethereum, BSC, and occasionally Tron. I knew enough to move things around confidently… or so I thought. One night, I was transferring $180,000 worth of USDT from my Ethereum wallet to what I thought was my Binance Smart Chain wallet. I copied the BSC address from Trust Wallet, pasted it into MetaMask, and hit send. Gas fee confirmed, transaction successful. Then it hit me. I had sent ERC-20 tokens to a BEP-20 address—same string, sure, but completely different networks. The USDT was gone. Not stolen, not failed—just stuck. Sitting on the Ethereum blockchain, locked in a wallet address I couldn’t access on that chain. And since it was technically a valid transaction, there was no way to cancel or reverse it. I spent the next two days in full crisis mode on Reddit threads, YouTube tutorials, random Telegram “experts.” Most people said the funds were unrecoverable. A few hinted at some complicated “maybe” solutions, but none of that gave me any confidence. MetaMask couldn’t help, Binance said it was out of their control, and even a few friends of mine said I was probably out of luck. Then someone in a crypto dev group mentioned a company called SpyHost Cybersecurity Company. I’d never heard of them before, but the way they talked about them—it wasn’t like your typical “we recover your funds” type of service. This sounded more serious, like real professionals. From the first interaction, it felt different. They weren’t asking dumb questions or throwing out vague promises. I was assigned a case manager. And very possible—if handled right. Turns out, since I controlled both the Ethereum wallet (that sent the funds) and the BSC wallet (where I intended to receive them), they could use that to construct a custom recovery transaction. SpyHost had built their own internal tools to deal with this exact kind of issue—cases where tokens are trapped between chains but tied to the same address. And after about 72 hours, just like they said, the USDT hit my wallet( The full $180,000) What impressed me the most wasn’t just that they recovered the funds—it was how they handled the entire process. Professional, secure, detailed. Since then, I’ve recommended SpyHost Cybersecurity Company to anyone even remotely involved in crypto. Whether you’re a trader, investor, or just holding some coins for the long haul—if you ever find yourself in a mess like I was, these are the people you want in your corner and they can be reached out to through their official E-mail address which is (Spyhost@cyberdude. com)

In August, I made what I thought was a promising investment, only to realize too late that I had fallen into the hands of a fraudulent platform. My $250,000 worth of Bitcoin vanished, and with it, my confidence and peace of mind. I felt helpless, as every attempt to contact the so-called “investors” ended in silence. It was during this period of despair that I was introduced to Washington Recovery Pro, a team of professionals dedicated to helping victims like me reclaim lost digital assets. From the very first consultation, they treated my case with urgency, professionalism, and transparency. They carefully examined the fraudulent transactions, tracked the blockchain trail, and used advanced recovery strategies to identify and intercept the wrong channels where my funds had been diverted.Weeks later, what I had thought impossible became reality Washington Recovery Pro successfully retrieved my entire $250,000 worth of Bitcoin. Their relentless efforts not only restored my finances but also gave me renewed trust in the idea that justice can prevail, even in the complicated world of cryptocurrency.Looking back, I see this as more than just a financial recovery, it was a story of hope, resilience, and professional expertise. Referral for Expert Crypto Recovery Services – Proven Results with TREK Tech Corp

My name is Franziska Tamino, and I am based in Germany, where I am engaged in the real estate sector. Two months ago, I experienced a significant financial loss, totaling $2.3 million in Bitcoin and USDT, due to the actions of a fraudulent investment firm. The incident was initiated when I received an appealing proposal from an organization called CANCAP, which promised substantial returns and displayed verified investor profits, prompting me to invest the entire amount.

Subsequently, I faced persistent demands for additional payments when attempting to withdraw funds. Shortly thereafter, their website disappeared, and all attempts to establish contact proved unsuccessful. I was left in shock, with my hopes of recovering the funds diminishing rapidly. Despite my efforts to involve authorities, these fraudsters remained elusive.

Approximately one month after the incident, while conducting online research, I came across an article about TREK Tech Corp, a firm renowned for its expertise in cryptocurrency recovery. I reached out to them and was profoundly impressed by the professionalism and efficiency demonstrated by their team. Utilizing advanced software tools, they successfully recovered $1.8 Million USD from the total amount within just 72 hours—despite the scam having occurred months prior. I remain deeply grateful for their assistance and continue to be in awe of their capabilities.
