Kuffel: Meghan's Size Inclusive WIP

Kuffel by Alexis Winslow

My knitting needles are empty. Well, sort of. My selfish knitting needles are empty. After binding off my Star Crossed and immediately putting it on I realized that I have our entire Deep Winter 2020 collection to chose from for my next selfish knitting project. Kuffel by Alexis Winslow is my next sweater on deck and I've been thinking extensively about my color options and also any modification I might want to make for my body type.

As a plus size knitter, the latter is usually the first thing I consider when I'm contemplating a new design to cast on. It is a rare occasion for me to cast on a project without some modifications, which is something I rather enjoy. It makes the project my own, tailored for me, and gives me a little extra to think about while I'm making a garment for myself.
In the case of Kuffel, I am anticipating the hem line ending at a spot I'd rather it not for my body shape (A is for Apple). I've been intrigued by several sweaters with high-low hemlines of late (like the gorgeous Grey Space, which is in my queue!), making the front a bit on the cropped side and the back gently brushing the tush. I think this option for my Kuffel is the perfect solution, as I'll be able to style it over dresses, as well as long tops with jeans, which is perfect for my existing wardrobe!
Sunsent over San Bernardino
Alexis recommends approximately 8-14" [20.25 - 35.5 cm] of positive ease for this top, which is a generous range, but I've found that going beyond 10" [25.5 cm] of positive ease for my 50" [127 cm] bust things start to get a bit....excessive for my taste. Especially considering the lovely large graphic running over my already ample bust. So I'm probably going with the 58" [147.25 cm] finished chest for my Kuffel, so it's not too big, but still extremely cozy.
Look at all that beautifully bold colorwork!
It is well established that by preferred colors are black, gray, and dark black, but I'm going to attempt to branch out a bit with this design...maybe? Here are my color combos, and the struggle has been real to choose.

The Choices

Charcoal + Ash

Red Feather + Fawn

Ash + Aspen

Evergreen + Fawn

What do you think? I'm leaning towards Charcoal + Ash, but I also love Red Feather + Fawn, too. Let me know and stay tuned for more on my progress!

xo,
Meghan

It started innocently enough. I was introduced to a cryptocurrency investment opportunity through someone I met in a social media trading group. The person seemed legitimate, knowledgeable, and patient. They even showed screenshots of successful trades, withdrawals, and glowing testimonials from other “investors.” I did some basic research, and everything appeared above board. The platform looked professional. The returns, though high, weren’t entirely unreasonable. So, I started with a small amount. I saw immediate “profits” on the dashboard. Encouraged, I invested more. And more. Eventually, over the course of two months, I had put in everything I had my savings, some borrowed funds, even emergency money I had set aside for my parents’ healthcare. In total: $119,000. Then, one day, I tried to withdraw. Nothing. The support stopped responding. The site kept saying there were “technical issues.” I started Googling the company again and noticed warnings I had missed. Forums, Reddit threads, complaints all about how people had been scammed the same way. My stomach dropped. I had been conned. At first, I was too ashamed to tell anyone. I couldn’t eat. I couldn’t sleep. I couldn’t even look at myself in the mirror. I felt like a failure. I was constantly on edge, paranoid, angry, and deeply depressed. My financial future was shattered, and I had no idea how to even begin recovering. Then I stumbled upon a post about Malice Cyber Recovery in a tech security forum. I was skeptical honestly, I thought it might be another scam. But I was desperate. I read every review I could find. Their team had helped others in similar situations recovering stolen crypto, tracing wallets, even working with law enforcement in some cases. I reached out, not expecting much. But from the very first interaction, something felt different. They didn’t overpromise. They didn’t guarantee miracles. They just listened to everything I had to say. No judgment. No rush. They laid out a clear process, explained how crypto recovery works, and told me exactly what they would need. I felt, for the first time in months, a glimmer of hope. The process was not easy it took several weeks of digging, tracing blockchain transactions, identifying the movement of funds, and preparing reports. But the Malice Cyber Recovery team kept me updated at every step. They were meticulous, professional, and persistent. They worked with a network of ethical hackers and legal consultants to track the movement of my funds across multiple wallets and mixers. And then, one day, I got the email: $119,000 successfully recovered. I broke down crying. To see that balance hit my account again… it felt like waking up from a nightmare. I still can’t believe it sometimes. I genuinely thought the money was gone forever. Malice Cyber Recovery didn’t just help me recover stolen money they gave me back my life. They gave me back my peace of mind, my future, and my self worth. If you’re reading this and you’ve been scammed I know how humiliating and devastating it feels. But don’t give up. Don’t let the scammers win. Reach out to the right people. For me, that was Malice Cyber Recovery

A few weeks ago, I received an email that claimed I had won a staggering $2 million Bitcoin giveaway sponsored by Binance. At first glance, the message appeared legitimate. It featured official logos, polished wording, and a link that redirected me to what seemed to be Binance’s real website. Everything looked perfect: the login page was professional, there was a security padlock indicating a secure connection, and even the URL was almost identical to the actual Binance site.Caught up in the excitement of what I thought was a lucky break, I entered my credentials without a second thought. When prompted, I also provided my recovery phrase to “verify eligibility.” It was a decision I would soon regret. Within minutes, I received a sinking feeling in my stomach as I realized that my entire cryptocurrency portfolio had been wiped out. It wasn’t just my Bitcoin (BTC) that was gone; the scammers had drained everything, including my Dogecoin (DOGE), Cardano (ADA), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH).The realization hit me hard, and I felt utterly sick. I had always prided myself on being cautious and knowledgeable about online scams, but the fake site was so convincing that I had let my guard down. After hours of panicking and feeling helpless, I knew I had to take action. I began searching for help and stumbled upon PRO WIZARD GIlBERT RECOVERY, a team that specializes in crypto scam investigations to recover my lost assets, I reached out to them, sharing my experience and the details of the scam. The team was incredibly supportive and knowledgeable, guiding me through the recovery process step by step. They explained how they could trace the transactions and work to recover my stolen funds. With their expertise, I felt a glimmer of hope. After two days of diligent work, I was ecstatic to learn that I had recovered 90% of my cryptocurrency. The relief was overwhelming, and I couldn’t believe that I had managed to reclaim what I thought was lost forever. I now understand that even the most convincing emails can be traps, and I will always double-check before taking any action in the future.
